MSP Week 6

When we found our organizations we decided to split the money equally because both charities that we chose from were perfect for what we wanted.  In the group we divided our group up by having some people finding non-profit organizations 990's while we had other people calling the companies and seeing if they actually knew anything about their organization.

Our group had a slow start because we had a few people talking, I was playing games while they talked and we were generally UN-organized for the first few times we got together as a group, but once it got closer to the due date we pulled together and finished what needed to be done.  If you get a project as a team you can't just hope that one person does everything, everyone has to pull their weight or you will never get done on time and the people in your group counting on you to finish your section will hold you responsible for not finishing what needed to be done.

I expect to see many organizations graciously accept the donations that we will be giving them and I'm hoping a few of the organizations will actually recognize the people that they talked to on the phone and be thrilled to see the people that was interested in their companies.  I am looking forward to next week for the check delivery because Ifeel like any donation made will change someones or somethings life for the better.  Giving the companies their checks will symbolize the completion of MSP which has been a great program and it means that i will be more prepared in the future.
